GeekVape Aegis Hero 5 Pod Vape Kit
Geekvape Aegis Hero 5
The Geekvape Aegis Hero 5 pod vape kit is IP68 rated for water, dust, and shock. It fires up to 50W from a 2000mAh battery that charges in around 30 minutes over USB-C, and Geekvape have bumped the capacity 40% over the older H45. One charge can stretch to 7 days depending on your wattage and how often you vape.
You get an empty Hero 5 refillable pod and two B Series Boost coils in the box. The 0.2 ohm coil runs at 50-58W for DTL clouds, and the 0.4 ohm coil drops to 25-30W for RDL draws. Both Boost coils handle up to 40ml of e-liquid each before they need swapping, which is double the older B Series. Three-position airflow covers MTL, RDL ,and DTL draws, and the pod takes nic salts, 50/50 e-liquids, or 70/30 shortfills.
Key Features
- IP68 tri-proof: waterproof (1.5m/30min), dustproof, shockproof
- 50W max output, 5W more than the H45
- 2000mAh built-in battery, 40% bigger than the H45's 1400mAh
- USB-C charging, flat to full in roughly 30 minutes
- 2ml refillable pod with top-fill
- B Series Boost coils: 0.2 ohm (50-58W) and 0.4 ohm (25-30W) included
- 40ml coil life per Boost coil, double the standard B Series
- Smart Mode (auto wattage) and Variable Wattage (manual)
- Three-position airflow ring for MTL, RDL, and DTL
- A-Lock safety switch to stop pocket firing
- Six colours: Steel Silver, Iron Black, Pure White, Turbo Blue, Racing Green, Frost Mint

Aegis Hero 5 IP68 Tri-Proof Build
Zinc alloy body with a textured leather grip, rated IP68 across the full shell. That's waterproof to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes, fully dustproof, and built to take drops onto hard surfaces. The Aegis line has always been the tough option in Geekvape's range, and the Hero 5 keeps that going at 90g. Light enough for a pocket, solid enough to survive one.
2000mAh Battery and 50W Output
The 2000mAh cell is a proper step up from the H45's 1400mAh. At lower wattages on the 0.4 ohm coil, a single charge can last you most of a week. Even running the 0.2 ohm coil at 50W+ you'll comfortably get through a full day. USB-C at 5V/2A brings it back from flat in about 30 minutes.
50W is the ceiling, up from 45W on the H45. Smart Mode reads your coil and picks the wattage for you. Switch across to Variable Wattage if you'd rather set it manually. The GENE chipset handles short circuit, overheat, and over-discharge protection on top of everything else.

B Series Boost Coils
Two Boost coils come in the Aegis Hero 5 box. Press-fit design, so you push them in and pull them out with no threading.

That 40ml figure is double what the standard B Series coils managed. When the coil's done, the whole pod housing swaps out with it. The full Geekvape B Series coil range fits, including higher resistance MTL options if you want a tighter draw on nic salts.
Airflow, A-Lock, and Top Fill
Three airflow positions on the side ring. Slide it tight for a restricted MTL pull, middle for RDL, or fully open for a loose DTL draw. No stepless adjusting here, just three set positions that click into place.
A-Lock is a physical switch that locks the fire button. Flick it on when the Aegis Hero 5 goes in your pocket and it won't fire by accident. The H45 didn't have this, so it's a welcome addition.
Top-fill on the 2ml pod. Pull the silicone stopper, fill up, push it back down. You don't need to remove the pod from the kit to refill. The pod takes everything from 50/50 nic salts through to 70/30 shortfills.

Why Choose the Geekvape Aegis Hero 5
IP68 in a 90g pod kit is unusual at this price point. Most kits with waterproofing either cap out at lower wattages or weigh twice as much. The Aegis Hero 5 pod vape kit hits 50W, carries a 2000mAh battery, and still fits in your pocket.
Boost coils lasting 40ml each keep running costs low compared to kits that burn through coils every 15-20ml. The three-position airflow and full B Series compatibility mean you can run it as an MTL nic salt vape or a DTL cloud kit depending on which coil and airflow setting you pick. A-Lock and GENE chipset safety are on top of the IP68 build. Six colours to choose from.
